As of today, any current Gridshout group owner can send referrals to other avatars inworld. If your friend follows your referral link and signs up, then you'll receive a 10% referral bonus (in linden dollars) each time they but Gridshout credits.
(But only refer people you know! Invitations will be sent from your own Sitebox, so if you try spamming strangers you'll get abuse reported and face the wrath of the Linden gods, same as always.)
You can send referrals by clicking the "Refer a Friend" link in your Gridshout profile.
